Jeannie Chibur the Feathertail Glider

As the millennium drought starts to rise to the forefront of our minds in Queensland, our group has worked hard to create an empathetic character that will teach people the correct water saving procedures currently in place and what to expect as the dry season extends.

Her name comprises of Jeannie Bell's first name (a Brisbane-born linguist keeping the native languages of Australia alive) and Chibur which means sugar glider in the native Jagera language of the Brisbane area.
